One of the leading companies operating in the Ready Mix Concrete (RMX) industry is actively looking an experienced Area Manager to oversee their growing operations in West Africa.
As the Area Manager you will report directly into the General Manager and work closely with a number of operational professional across multiple plants in the country, ensuring that all batching plants under your care are operating efficiently and effectively.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an established multinational in a growing economy in Africa.
Your responsibilities as Area Manager will include:

• Ensuring that all plants are operating to optimal production rates and that all staff are working effectively and safely.
• Implement strong a strong HSE environment.
• Constantly inspect on-site facilities working closely with the maintenance department ensuring minimal down time for the plants.
• Full responsibility for the management of budgets.
• Find ways to reduce costs and increase production outputs by implement best practises.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of ready mix concrete experience, is essential.
• Proven capability of managing multiple production sites, ideally in the Ready Mix Concrete, will be highly advantageous.
• International experience is preferred but non-essential.
• Excellent communication skills and a proficiency in using standard office computer products.
• A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering will be looked on favourably
